MEP specializes in Mineral Process Engineering.
The main core of our business is the design of processes where our own proprietary
equipment is used.

We design Mineral process circuit flow sheets for a wide range of processes/treatments
such as complete silica sand washing plants, mineral ore dressing, fine coal
washing plants and contaminated soil washing plants.
MEP has developed wide and substantial experience in designing and supplying
this type of equipment.
All of these processes use water to wash and separate the material and in many
circuits the effluent water also has to be treated, either to make it suitable
for re-circulation in closed circuit or for disposal. We offer our Thickener/Clarifiers
We also incorporate in our designs other equipment such as specialist pumps
and screens.

The Hydrosizer/TBS is used by a wide range of Mineral Processors to beneficiate and classify minerals generally < 5 mm in size. Minerals such as:
The Hydrosizer/TBS is a
hindered settling classifier which, utilises an upward current of water to create
a bed of material within its cell, the material held in the cell is in a state
of 'teeter' and it comprises a narrow size band. When particles that are larger
(or heavier) enter the cell they penetrate the teetering material and those
that are finer or lighter are displaced to the overflow. By employing an accurate
sensing device with a constant flow of upward current water, well defined separation
is achieved.
Each machine is manufactured to exacting standards with abrasion resistant linings
where necessary and utilises an Electro/Hydraulic control system, which can
if required operate in conjunction with PLC & computer controlled systems.
There is a range of single cut production machines from the TBS 900 to TBS 3000.
Other machines using the same principles include the Multi Spigot Hydrosizer
often used as a pre-concentrator prior to shaking tables and the Hydrolig developed
to remove deleterious matter such as lignite and fish from sand & gravel.

The removal of contaminants from aggregates used in the production of concrete
is likely to become standard practise for operators processing riverbed or marine
dredged aggregates.
Operators treating deposits with high levels of silt would also benefit from
using the Hydrosizer/ TBS.
The LSG Series comprises
a spurgear and pinion drive system with automatic raise and lowering of the
rakes and specially designed to cope with conditions where fluctuations in the
feed solids demand flexibility from the Thickener. Its design is heavy-duty
to deal with the rigours of mineral processing.

up to 40 Metres:-

The principle features are:The HC Thickener range is
a complete free standing unit of mild steel construction incorporating our XL
drive and consists of both tank, superstructure and drive mechanism mounted
above ground on a prepared concrete slab. It is easily transported to site and
quickly ready for use.
HC series tanks can be supplied from 2m diameter to 12m diameter and maybe designed
around the specific requirements of the customer.
